Announced together with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series, the Galaxy Buds Pro returns better than ever that contains more features. But, the charging case is the same as the Galaxy Buds Live, too.
Let’s get to the hardware specs first. Armed with 11mm woofers and 6.5mm tweeters, it still generates punchy bass and clear trebles across a variety of music categories.
There are also 3 microphones and a Voice Pickup Unit (VPU) cuts unwanted sounds and amplifies voice for clear voice calls. Also, to prevent strong airflows from ruining what you’re trying to say, the new Wind Shield tech provided by the specially designed chamber and mesh filter will cut out these ambient cues.
For battery, it can run up to 8 hours per full charge and the casing holds around 20 hours. Oh, don’t worry about getting sweat or liquids damaging the earbuds as it is IPX7 rated, the highest level achieved by a Galaxy Buds TWS as of now.
Speaking of ambient sounds, the ANC has been upgraded and now work with Ambient Sound mode in tandem to smartly adapt to your surroundings and situations. It can know when you are speaking and automatically switches between both modes to allow you to hear what other people are speaking and go back to music vibing in a flash.
Software-wise, it joins the Samsung ecosystem as seamless as possible as it can connect to multiple Samsung devices at once where enjoying Netflix on your Galaxy Tab then switching to your Galaxy S21 for a phone call without manually reconnecting is now possible. You can also get fantastic features such as 360 Audio with Dolby Head Tracking to stay center of the scene and Game Mode for reduced latency.
