April is the month where all Coffee Lake laptops are released – and ASUS has a bit of a treat for us. Introducing the new ASUS ROG Zephyrus M and also the brand new TUF Gaming series of laptops, codenamed FX504. All of these laptops are powered by Inte’s latest 8th Gen Core processors, and they’re compatible with Aura Sync too.
Let’s start off by the specs list. None of the prices are official yet, and we’ll update this page when we have more information regarding its prices.

ASUS TUF Gaming FX504
Introducing ASUS’s latest laptop series – the TUF Gaming series. We first heard about the TUF Gaming branding during the Coffee Lake tech seminar last year, and ASUS is taking it to the next level by revamping the entire TUF branding to a budget-oriented gaming sub-brand.
The TUF Gaming takes on the codename FX504 – which some of you may already be familiar with. The ASUS FX series of laptops are known to be more budget-friendly, and now it has an official name.
Powered by an Intel Core i7-8750HQ and up to NVIDIA GTX 1050 Ti, the new TUF Gaming FX504 comes in a slim 2.5cm chassis and weighs just 2.3kg.
It also comes with a 15.6-inch 60Hz display, DTS Headphone:X surround sound, HyperCool that combines the patented anti-dust cooling system with Fan Overboost, wave 2 WiFi, and FireCuda hybrid storage.
ASUS ROG Zephyrus M (GM501)
ASUS reused the name Zephyrus now is to denote its thinness and portability. With a thin and light body that we’ve all come to know on the original Zephyrus that was announced last year, the new Zephyrus M is also thin and light. However, the keyboard and trackpad layout is totally different. It’s still packed with a strong configuration of hardware – Intel Core i7-8750H, 16GB RAM, 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD, 144Hz refresh rate 1080p IPS display.
The interesting thing here is that the new Zephyrus M comes in two different variants – either with an NVIDIA GTX 1060 6GB VRAM, or a beefy NVIDIA GTX 1070 with 8GB VRAM.
The Zephyrus M is also the thinnest laptop to include a GTX 1070 as of now.
ROG Zephyrus (GX501GI)
ROG Zephyrus is the world’s slimmest gaming laptop that’s powered by the latest 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (Max-Q) graphics. The 15.6-inch Zephyrus features an ultraslim profile and incorporates the ROG-exclusive Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) — a specially designed cooling system that also includes Anti-Dust Cooling and Fan Overboost technologies. It has an IPS-level panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, 100% sRGB color gamut and NVIDIA G-SYNC to eliminate screen tearing.

ROG G703 is powered by a factory-overclocked 8th Generation Intel Core i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics for overkilling both work and game. It has a 17.3-inch 1080p IPS-level display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3ms GTG response time, NVIDIA G-SYNC technology, and anti-glare coating. HyperDrive Extreme storage uses exclusive technology to provide gamers with RAID 0 SSD speeds of up to 8700MB/s.
Talk about overkill. Core i9 in a laptop – I wonder how big and heavy is the power brick – and also how the cooling system is going to cope with it.
ROG Strix GL703 SCAR Edition
ROG Strix SCAR Edition is designed to give gamers a competitive edge in FPS eSports titles like Counter-Strike, Overwatch, and Team Fortress 2. This gaming laptop is powered by up to the latest 8th Generation Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce 10-Series graphics, and features an IPS-level display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 3ms response time, and NVIDIA G-SYNC technology.
Strix SCAR Edition also has a desktop-style keyboard with Aura Sync, N-key rollover, and fast-actuating keys. It features the patented Anti-Dust Cooling (ADC) system that expels harmful dust particles and dirt from the system to improve stability and durability. It includes Aura Sync technology so gamers can customize and sync light effects with compatible gaming mice, headsets, and other peripherals. Because RGB is RGbae?
ROG Strix GL503 Hero Edition
ROG Strix Hero Edition is designed to give gamers a competitive edge in Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) games like League of Legends and Dota 2, as well as RTS and RPG titles. This gaming laptop is powered by up to the latest 8th Generation Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce 10-Series graphics, and features a 120Hz display with wide-view technology and a 130% sRGB color gamut. Strix SCAR Edition also has a desktop-style keyboard with Aura Sync, N-key rollover, and a 20-million-key-press lifespan. It features the patented Anti-Dust Cooling (ADC) system that expels harmful dust particles and dirt from the system to improve stability and durability. It includes Aura Sync technology.
