Here’s something new in the market – if you’re looking for a gaming laptop, then take a look at the ASUS FX553 gaming laptop. It seems to be an entirely new lineup of laptops from ASUS too, as this lineup is separated from the ROG family.
ASUS Malaysia is specifically bringing in the ASUS FX553VD, which has the specs as listed below:

The ASUS FX553 is a laptop that’s not made for AAA game titles, but it’s something that can get students up and running with apps which are along the lines of MATLAB, Photoshop or eSports title games on the go or while in class. Yeah… that’s something I did during my university days, by the way.
The ASUS FX553’s is priced RM3,499, which I think is a tiny bit too high, as it doesn’t come with an SSD and still stuck with only 4GB of RAM. This seems to be a trend among ASUS laptops, as we’ve also seen 4GB RAM on their latest VivoBook S15. But hey – at least they have another extra RAM slot, though upgrading to 16GB requires you to literally discard that included 4GB RAM stick in the first place.
Also, it seems to have an M.2 slot for SSDs. M.2 2280, that is.

I wish they upgraded it to a GTX 1050 Ti, actually.
