With the hype of the green camp stabilizing now, it’s time for the red camp to boast about their new approach to consumer GPUs. They introduced the brand new RX480, and now it’s time for its smaller brother, the RX470. This time, it’s from ASUS. Introducing the ASUS STRIX RX470.
The STRIX RX470 still comes with all of ASUS STRIX’s features. However being an AMD RX470-based card, the STRIX RX470 is clocked at 1270MHz in OC mode, and even Aura RGB lighting system.
That RGB though. It’s even complimented by a set of orange decals that ASUS includes , so you can have your own orange accents on the GPU itself. Who knows, maybe you’re like me who likes orange on your personal rig.
Other than that, it is compatible with ASUS’s GPU Tweak II for easy overclocking. ASUS even included a 14-day XSplit license for free. It’s a great opportunity for those who wants to try out streaming themselves, actually.
The ASUS ROG STRIX RX470 is already available now, and it comes in two variants.
- STRIX-RX470-O4G-GAMING – RM1,227 (higher clock speed)
- STRIX-RX470-4G-GAMING – RM1,132
