ROG Malaysia has launched its flagship G1000 gaming desktop, packing AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 into a seriously chunky chassis. But the hardware is only part of the story. The G1000 also introduces two features that make this pre-built stand out: the ROG Thermal Atrium cooling system and AniMe Holo holographic fans.
The ROG Thermal Atrium is essentially a dedicated cooling chamber built around the CPU. It physically separates the 420mm all-in-one liquid cooler’s radiator from the rest of the system, giving it direct access to fresh ambient air instead of making it share airflow with the other components. According to ASUS, the design can reduce CPU intake temperatures by up to 16°C.
The GPU and power supply also get their own isolated airflow paths, helping keep heat from one component from simply becoming another component’s problem. The result should be more consistent thermals without having to crank every fan to maximum speed.
Then there’s AniMe Holo, which is probably the part that will grab the most attention. ASUS calls it the world’s first holographic fan system in a pre-built gaming desktop, combining full-color holographic projectors with three X-shaped fans.
The system includes a massive 380mm side fan with 720 LEDs, along with two 215mm front fans carrying 404 LEDs each. Despite the unusual design, the brand says the fans run in isolated modules to reduce vibration and interference.
Through Armoury Crate, the system can display up to 16.77 million colors, along with custom animations, text and system information. So instead of simply showing off the components inside, the G1000 can turn the entire chassis into a giant customizable display.
Underneath all that visual flair is some very serious hardware. The G1000 runs on AMD’s Ryzen 9 9950X3D paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 sitting on top of an X870 motherboard with onboard wireless connectivity and a dedicated dTPM module for hardware-level security.
The launch configuration comes with 64GB of DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. ASUS has also left some room for future upgrades, with four DDR5 memory slots and four M.2 slots available.
Price and Availability
The ASUS ROG G1000 is officially priced at RM29,999 in Malaysia and comes with a 3-year on-site warranty.
There’s also a bundle option that includes the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS gaming monitor for RM32,999, giving buyers a complete high-end gaming setup straight out of the box.
