At the Create the Uncreated online event, ASUS basically announced new OLED models for almost all of its laptops across multiple series, and for this post, we’ll be touching on the new Zenbook and Vivobook Pro models specifically as these are more for the mass consumers.
Fans of the Zenbook will be delighted to find out a total of 6 models including the vanilla Zenbook, Zenbook Flip and Zenbook Pro Duo are all getting the OLED treatment. They are not scuffed as well because they will be sporting a superior 16:10 NanoEdge 4K touchscreen panel with HDR support at best while the Pro Duo 15 will also carry a 14-inch ScreenPad Plus with new ScreenXpert 2 software that delivers even more feature sets to smoothen out the user experience. For performance, the standard Zenbooks are designed to be light and efficient while the Pro Duo is for those who want extreme desktop performance in a portable form factor.
On the other side, we have the Vivobook Pro OLED series that sports greater computing performance to serve those who need a powerhouse device with a great display. For the 16X and 14X models, it is fitted with a 16-inch or 14-inch NanoEdge 4K OLED display together with the exclusive DialPad allowing precision access to creative tools easier than ever. For the 14 and 15 models, the display is slightly down to a 14/15-inch NanoEdge 2.8K/FHD panel in case you don’t need that much pixel and can forgo the DialPad function for a lower price tag.
We’ve also summarized the spec list of all the various models from Zenbook and Vivobook for easier understanding.
