ASUS VivoBook 14 A413

ASUS just announced the brand new ZenBook series of laptops. The current generation of ultrabooks now has a few changes, and most notably it is now the thinnest ultrabook ever – at only 13.9mm. However, there is a catch.

We just published our review of the laptop too – which you can check it out here.

I honestly highly-recommend you watch the review video – and there are a few points that we went through. The most controversial feature here is obviously the missing audio jack. Honestly, I don’t want to deal with the way Windows handles Bluetooth devices. It’s annoying and just frustrating.

But the lack of an audio jack will impact everyone differently. For me personally, I don’t really mind the missing audio jack. Moreover, these ZenBook 13 UX325 and ZenBook 14 UX425 laptops come with USB-C sound card dongle too. It’s a high-quality one, too.

But then again, we’ll have to sacrifice both Thunderbolt 3 ports if we want to listen to music and charge at the same time.

What surprised me here is that the price. The new ZenBook 13 UX325 and ZenBook 14 UX425 laptops starts at RM3,999 whereby the higher variant is at RM4,699. Both 13-inch and 14-inch variants are at the same price, too.

Don’t get me wrong – both the ZenBook 13 UX325 and ZenBook 14 UX425 are still fantastic laptops – just that the lack of an audio jack may break your purchase decision entirely.
