Not too long ago, we reviewed the ASUS ZenFone 3 Max 5.2-inch variant. The 5.5-inch variant here is actually very different from that variant – hardware-wise, I mean.
The brand new ZenFone 3 Max 5.5-inch variant takes on the model number of ZC553KL, and there’s two main highlight to this smartphone. It now features a bigger battery, and even more megapixels.
The ZenFone 3 Max 5.5-inch has a 4100mAh battery and still has the power bank feature with the help of an OTG cable, and keeps the same aesthetic as the 5.2-inch variant.
Its camera however, now upgraded to laser autofocus technology, enabling ultra-fast 0.03 seconds focusing and subject tracking. Of course, there’s still phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and continuous autofocus (CAF). Also, more megapixels means a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 lens, coupled with a 3-axis EIS for 6-direction compensation. The front facing camera now features an 8MP sensor too.
Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset with 1.4GHz octa-cores, the ASUS ZenFone 3 Max 5.5-inch doesn’t seem like a slouch either
