When it comes to the “gamers” these days, it’s actually split into a few different categories. Firstly, it’s those who play games as a recreational activity. Then there are those who are playing games for eSports. They’re the ones who set the meta in these games. Then there are streamers who play games to entertain either through their characteristic or skill. And then there’s Battle Arena – a place where all of these people can come together under one roof.
Battle Arena is located at the 5th floor of Jaya Shopping Center, opposite of TGV Cinemas. It’s very well-equipped and thought out, as it has a corner for casters to sit down and do their live casting of whatever tournament match is going on at the center of the stage.
The tournament PCs are housed inside these two soundproof capsules, and they’re lit up by either red or blue color to signify your team, obviously.
These tournament PCs are equipped with:
- Intel Core i7-8700K Processor (12M Cache, up to 4.70 GHz)
- MSI Z370 GAMING M5 LGA1151 Coffee Lake Motherboard
- MSI GTX1080Ti SEA HAWK EK X 11GB DDR5x Graphic Card
- Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3000mhz Performance Memory Kit x 2
- Cooler Master MasterCase Maker 5T ATX Casing (customized)
- Cooler Master V850 80+ Gold Power Supply
At the sides, there are 10 streamer pods, which is meant for streamers to go in and do their thing – but using the top-notch equipment that Battle Arena has prepared for you. They have all sorts of Razer peripherals and dual-monitors too, so that you can monitor your stream on one monitor and game on the other.
These PCs are equipped with:
- Intel Core i7-7700K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.50 GHz)
- MSI Z270 Gaming M7 LGA1151 Motherboard
- MSI GTX1080Ti GAMING X 11G Graphic Card
- Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2666MHz 8GB C16 Performance RAM
- Cooler Master CM 590 III Mid Tower Casing
- Cooler Master MasterLiquid 120 CPU Cooler
- Cooler Master MasterWatt 750w Modular 80+ Bronze Power Supply
Upstairs is where the VIP isles are found. There are a total of 20 VIP PCs, and they’re quite secluded from everything else so that you can enjoy your time alone there without distraction. Personally speaking, if I can have some peace and quiet, I’d really pay for it.
These VIP PCs are equipped with:
- Intel Core i7-7700K Processor (8M Cache, up to 4.50 GHz)
- MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Carbon LGA1151 Motherboard
- MSI GTX1070TI Gaming X 8G Graphic Card
- Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 16GB (2x8GB) 3000mhz Performance Memory Kit
- Cooler Master MasterCase H500P Mid Tower Casing
- Cooler Master MasterLiquid ML240L RGB Liquid Cooler
- Cooler Master MasterWatt 650w Modular 80+ Bronze Power Supply
Then there are other gaming PCs which are meant to just game. They’re not meant for streamers or tournaments or VIPs – just basic gaming PCs for those who purely want to game.
These PCs are equipped with:
- Intel Core i5-7600K Processor (6M Cache, up to 4.20 GHz)
- MSI Z270 KRAIT Gaming LGA1151 Motherboard
- MSI GTX1060 GAMING X+ 6G Graphic Card
- Corsair Vengeance(R) LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16 Memory Kit
- Cooler Master K380 Mid Tower Casing
- Cooler Master MWE 500w 80+ White Power Supply
Now, there are a few things I didn’t mention. From what I observed, all of the chairs are from AK Racing, whereas all of the keyboards are by Razer. Even the microphones are from Razer. Same goes for the pink keyboards – they’re from Razer. The webcams are from Logitech, by the way. PC cases, PSUs, and CPU coolers are from Cooler Master, whereas the motherboard and graphic cards are from MSI. Processors are obviously from Intel. The RAMs are from Corsair.
Also, there are two coaching rooms in Battle Arena. They’re equipped with 5 PCs each, and a touchscreen TV with Fingerworks software for visualizing in-game plans and strategies. That that really get the team on the same page so that they can communicate more effectively.
