Leading memory and storage brand Biwin just made headlines thanks to the announcement of the Amber CB500 CFexpress Type B card.

The whole ordeal of this launch is the VPG800 certification from the CompactFlash Association that ensures the Amber CB500 delivers sustained write speeds of 800 MB/s, giving filmmakers and creators the confidence to shoot 8K /12K RAW, high frame rate, and uncompressed video without any hiccups.

However, raw benchmarks put it at up to 3750 MB/s read and 3500 MB/s write speeds, and when you use it with Biwin’s Amber RB510 high-speed card reader, you can get transfer speeds of up to 40 Gb/s, enabling a streamlined post-production phase during file offloading.

Meanwhile, the aluminum alloy shell is paired with thermal conductive gel to keep it cool during extended high-bitrate recording sessions, and it is also durable enough to withstand drops, impacts, wear, magnets, and even X-rays, as well as handle temperatures ranging from -12°C all the way up to +72°C.

Available in 128 GB to 1 TB capacities, the Biwin Amber CB500 offers plenty of room and peace of mind for creators shooting everything from fast-paced sports to long time-lapses or live event setups.
