When it comes to Dell laptops, the XPS series is obviously my favorite of the bunch. We just reviewed the Dell XPS 15 9575 not too long ago here and we are absolutely stunned by its capabilities. Dell over-engineered that laptop and today, Dell just announced two new laptops into the XPS lineup – the XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 and also the XPS 15 7590.
XPS 13 2-in-1 7390
The new XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 now comes with up to the 10th Gen Intel Core i7-1065 G7 CPU that has a clock speed of up to 3.9GHz. However, instead of using AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL graphics like its predecessor, the new is equipped with Intel’s UHD Graphics and also the new Intel Iris Plus Graphics.
There is also an option to get 32GB worth of LPDDR4x RAM, and please choose the appropriate amount since the RAM is soldered.
There are a total of two different displays available to choose from. They are now in 16:10 aspect ratio instead. The new XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 also supports Dell Premium Active Pen.
- 13.4-inch 4K UltraSharp Ultra HD+ (3840×2400) display with 100% sRGB, 90% DCI-P3
- 13.4-inch FHD+ (1920×1200) with Eyesafe technology
Also, the new laptop now comes with only a 45W power brick too – which goes to show just how power efficient the entire laptop is.
Dell also has a few new tricks up its sleeve, as it is now 8% thinner than its predecessor, features a tiny little webcam that is placed above the screen, an edge-to-edge MagLev keyboard, and 19% larger touchpad.
The new XPS 13 2-in-1 7390 will be “coming soon” and the price starts at USD $999.99.
XPS 15 2-in-1 7590
In terms of specs, the XPS 15 2-in-1 7590 now comes packed with up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i9-9980HK processor with up an NVIDIA GeForce 1650 graphics and 4GB of GDDR5 VRAM. There are two SO-DIMM slots and you can equip it with up to 64GB of RAM.
As for the display, there are a total of 3 variants to choose from:
- 15.6-inch 4K OLED panel, no touchscreen
- 15.6-inch 4K UltraSharp IPS panel with touchscreen
- 15.6-inch 1080p IPS panel with touchscreen
The new XPS 15 7590 will be available on 28th May 2019 and priced starting at USD $999.99 for the base model and starting at $1,899.99 for the OLED screen model.
