When the MasterBox 5 was first announced, things weren’t as premium and we know it. Now, Cooler Master has gone back to the original and tweaked it – creating the new MasterBox Pro 5 – and also an RGB version.
Here are a few highlight points:
- 4mm thick edge to edge tempered glass side panel
- Transparent front panel
The new MasterBox Pro 5 builds upon the flexibility of the MasterBox 5 with a transparent front panel and a tempered glass side panel to show off your hardware.
“The tempered glass side panel in the MasterBox Pro 5 allows builders to showcase their high-end hardware easily without resorting to third-party side panels,” said Rick Chen, Case Product Manager. “This is a case for enthusiasts who aren’t averse to a little showboating.”
For some reason, the MasterBox Pro 5 isn’t really a mid-tower case as it can fit in an E-ATX board and super-long graphics cards – up to 410mm, actually. There’s even space for a total of 4 drive bays!
Speaking of space, the MasterBox Pro 5 can fit in a 360mm radiator at the front, too. Of course, there’s another 120mm fan slot at the rear. However, there are no top vents.
Then again, who cares about the cooling when you have all the bling? Cooler Master promises ample of space for cable management at the back so you can hide all the ugly spaghetti behind that while your tempered glass side shows off the pretty side.
Remember – the front panel is transparent too. If that’s not enough, go for the MasterBox Pro 5 RGB for even more bling. The MasterBox Pro 5 RGB comes with three 120mm RGB fans in front and an RGB connector splitter certified for ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI and ASRock motherboards. I mean, if you don’t have any bling-compatible motherboard, you can do what we did here with Tech Critter for the MasterBox Lite 5 😉
