Cooler Master has been actively developing one thing in particular – and that’s something we call “mem-chanical” switch. It’s a membrane switch, but it’s clicky and has the satisfying bump. Now, they’ve returned with a new revision – the MasterSet MS120. Cooler Master even went the extra mile and incorporated RGB per-key backlighting!
“We created a keyboard that mirrors the highly popular mechanical Cherry MX Blue switches and made it affordable while maintaining functionality. We successfully pulled this off with the satisfying clicky feature on our newest mem-chanical switches” says Bram Rongen, Peripheral Marketing Manager.
Cooler Master touts that this exclusive hybrid switch is engineered in-house, and actuates at 1.8mm with a travel total distance of 3.8mm. Cooler Master also touts that it has 26-key anti-ghosting, which is definitely useful for those who mash keyboards with many keys at once.
The mouse itself has a Pixart 3050 optical sensor, and also Omron switches, rated for a total of 10 million precise button presses. That Pixart 3050 optical sensor that the MasterSet MS120’s mouse. Pretty good, I’d say.
The MasterSet MS120’s Keyboard features per-key RGB backlighting because aesthetics matter in 2017. The MasterSet MS120’s keyboard features multiple (9) preset LED modes and effects. Modes and effects rain from solid colors to color waves and reactive on-touch effects. All the effects can be controlled through the on-the-fly controls to adjust color, speed and direction. That means you won’t have to install the software to control the RGB lights.
And of course, the MasterSet MS120’s mouse isn’t left out as it features 3 zones of adjustable RGB lighting too to match the fancy looks of the keyboard.
The MasterSet MS120 is now available for purchase locally, priced at RM329.
Get it from Lazada now.
Not the prettiest price tag for a keyboard/mouse combo set, I’d say. But hey – at least it comes in a set with RGB and quality switches.
