Dell Technologies has unveiled the PowerEdge XR8720t, a new compute sled built to transform edge and telecom infrastructure with powerful performance and enhanced connectivity, particularly for Open RAN and Cloud RAN deployments.

Traditionally, organizations adopting Cloud RAN or advanced edge computing have faced challenges such as high costs, complex multi-server setups, limited scalability, and space constraints. Therefore, this new PowerEdge XR8720t aims to change that, acting as a single-server solution that streamlines infrastructure, boosts performance and efficiency, and reduces total cost of ownership across modern network environments.
