Garmin Malaysia has just introduced the newest additions to its Approach series, featuring the Approach S50 GPS golf smartwatch, Approach CT1 club trackers, and Approach G20 Solar GPS golf handheld.
Approach S50 GPS Golf Smartwatch
Sporting a sleek, lightweight design, the Approach S50 boasts a 1.2-inch AMOLED display and comes with preloaded maps of over 43,000 golf courses as well as golf features like hazard view and distance tracking to the front, middle, and back of the green. In terms of usage time, it provides up to 20 hours of battery life in GPS mode.
Just like many other Garmin smartwatches, the Approach S50 features wrist-based heart rate tracking, preloaded exercises, women’s health tracking, and more. Users can also receive smart notifications which include emails, texts, and alerts, when connected to a compatible smartphone.
Approach CT1 Club Trackers
Following that, the Approach CT1 tracking tags can seamlessly pair with the Approach S50 smartwatch to track every stroke. These lightweight tags attach to club grips, recording shot locations, distances, and club types.
Users can simply tap the tag to their watch before each shot to log stats in real time, and on the course, they can analyze their typical shot distances and accuracy, while post-round insights in the Garmin Golf app provide strokes gained analysis and performance trends for targeted improvement.
Approach G20 Solar GPS Golf Handheld
Last but not least, the Approach G20 Solar is Garmin’s first solar-powered GPS golf handheld which offers unlimited battery life in sunny conditions. Featuring a 2.2-inch high-contrast, sunlight-readable display, it provides yardage to the front, middle, and back of the green for easy shot planning. Even without solar charging or during sub-optimal conditions, users can enjoy up to 36 rounds, ensuring extended play without frequent recharges.
On top of that, its compact and versatile design allows it to attach securely to a golf cart with a built-in magnet or clip onto a belt for easy carrying. The Find My Garmin feature also helps track down misplaced devices, while its IPX7 rated water resistance offers extra peace of mind.
