Last week, Harman Kardon Malaysia officially unveiled the new Aura Studio 5 and SoundSticks 5 for the local market, with each of them bringing a new blend of style and iconic sound profile through the renowned design.
First, we have the Aura Studio 5, the newest generation of its signature glass-dome speaker that combines upgraded acoustics with immersive lighting effects. This version introduces a refined multi-layered lighting projection system and a reworked three-way speaker setup, offering a more complete balance between design, sound, and ambience.
Specifically, it features six full-range drivers, a dedicated subwoofer, and for the first time, a tweeter designed to bring out clearer vocals and richer tones. Backed by its Constant Sound Field technology, it delivers wider, more even audio coverage, letting music fill the room naturally, no matter where you’re listening from.
The new lighting system adds another layer to the experience, projecting soft, dynamic visuals that reflect the rhythm and energy of your music. You can choose from five preset themes of Ocean, Aurora, Blossom, Sunrise, and Fireplace – or create your own look by customizing the lighting through the Harman Kardon ONE app, which also lets you adjust sound settings for a more personal setup.
Maintaining the brand’s iconic transparent dome, the Aura Studio 5 now sports smoother lines and a cleaner finish, emphasizing a modern yet familiar aesthetic. It also supports Auracast, allowing stereo pairing or multi-speaker setups to expand sound across your space with ease.
Meanwhile, the SoundSticks 5 is super recognizable due to its look, and now offers even more in both looks and sound. To start, it now runs an upgraded three-way acoustic setup with newly added tweeters on each satellite speaker, delivering sharper vocals and clearer highs alongside the down-firing subwoofer that produces deep, precise bass. Together, the dual silk dome tweeters and mid-range drivers create a detailed and balanced soundstage that elevates everything from casual listening to cinematic moments.
Blending art and technology, the SoundSticks 5 is crafted from premium materials and comes in transparent white or smoked glass-effect black. Its new ambient lighting system features five nature-inspired presets just like the Aura Studio 5, as well as the option to select any static color to match your mood or space.
The lighting glows softly through both the satellites and the subwoofer, creating a visual rhythm that syncs beautifully with your music and turns every listening session into a sensory experience.
The controls have also been refined with touch-sensitive buttons built seamlessly into the right satellite’s base for easy access, while deeper customization for EQ and lighting is handled through the Harman Kardon ONE app.
You can also find Bluetooth 5.4, providing a better wireless playback quality and Auracast pushing out your favourite tunes across rooms and multiple speakers. nd if you want to use it for your TV, setup is simple with HDMI ARC, offering Dolby Audio support for an immersive experience in movies, games, or music.
