Nokia just released a total of 3 new smartphones. These devices are ranging from the flagship Nokia 8 series, the mid-range 5 series, and also the entry-level 1 series. The Nokia 5310 is in tandem with HMD’s tradition of releasing a nostalgia phone every year.
Let’s take a look at them one by one.
Nokia 8.3 5G
Remember the leaks where the upcoming James Bond movie was shown to use a Nokia phone? That’s the Nokia 8.3 5G. This new phone is Nokia’s latest flagship smartphone – and with it comes this list of specs:
- 6.81-inch IPS LCD screen with 1080p resolution
- Punch hole notch
- Snapdragon 765G chipset
- Up to 8GB RAM
- Up to 128GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD)
- Quadruple rear-facing cameras
- Main: 64MP f/1.9
- Ultra-wide: 12MP f/2.2
- Macro: 2MP
- Depth sensor
- 24MP f/2.0 selfie camera
- 4,500mAh battery
- 18W fast charging
From the looks of it, even Nokia’s new 5G smartphone isn’t using the highest-end chipset. Though, Nokia did say that they are using ZEISS optics for the camera, though we’re unsure if all lenses are using ZEISS optics.
In any case, the Nokia 8.3 5G will be available starting summer 2020 in Polar Night color. The prices are:
- 6GB RAM + 64GB storage @ €599
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage @ €649
Nokia 5.3
This new Nokia 5.3 is aimed towards the lower price bracket with this spec:
- 6.55-inch IPS LCD screen with 720p resolution
- Waterdrop notch
- Snapdragon 665 chipset
- Up to 6GB RAM
- Up to 64GB storage
- Quadruple rear-facing cameras
- Main: 13MP f/1.8
- Ultra-wide: 5MP
- Macro: 2MP
- Depth sensor
- 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera
- 4,000mAh battery
- 10W charger
From what we can see here, the Nokia 5.3 is a pretty modest mid-range smartphone but comes with a 720p screen. The Nokia 5.3 is available starting in April in three colors – Cyan, Sand, and Charcoal.
As for the price, it is available at 4GB RAM + 64GB storage at €189.
Nokia 1.3
Introducing Nokia’s latest entry-level smartphone. This smartphone comes with the this spec:
- 5.71-inch IPS LCD screen with 720p resolution
- Waterdrop notch
- Qualcomm QM215
- 1GB RAM
- 8MP rear-facing
- 5MP selfie camera
- 3,000mAh
Just like any other entry-level phones, it is using Android 10 Go Edition as well. This is made for entry-level smartphones with entry-level hardware. Nokia also promises Android 11 Go Edition update too.
The Nokia 1.3 is available in three different colors – Cyan, Sand, and Charcoal. It is priced at €59.
Nokia 5310
A trip down to memory lane with the Nokia 5310 Xpress Music It has dual front-facing speakers with MP3 player and FM radio. It’s a literal blast to the past with your nostalgic music.
