HONOR Malaysia has just announced the arrival of yet another mid-range smartphone – but this one is considered nearer to the entry-level price point as it is priced at only RM599. With it comes a brand new mysterious ambassador – or should I say a catbassador.
The HONOR 8C, as Mr. Zhao Zhiwei, the head of HONOR Malaysia says, is “a smartphone that offers industry-forward features to cost-conscious consumers.”
The HONOR 8C comes with this list of specs:
- 6.26-inch IPS LCD display with 1520×720 pixels in resolution
- Regular big old notch
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset
- 3GB RAM
- 32GB storage (expandable with microSD)
- Dual rear-facing cameras
- 13MP f/1.8 with PDAF
- 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor
- 8MP f/2.0 selfie camera
- 4,000mAh battery
From what we know so far, the Snapdragon 632 consumes very little power because of the limited hardware horsepower that it can offer. However, it can still do daily tasks like WhatsApp and Facebook without any issues.
Even at such a low price point, HONOR Malaysia brings something special aesthetically. Introducing the brand new cat’s eye effect with a gem-like glow that shifts when viewed from different angles. This is only for the blue color variant, though.
Henceforth the latest ambassador catbassador. And with it comes a new contest whereby you can win a brand new HONOR 8C by naming its latest catbassador via a cat-naming contest on HONOR Malaysia’s Facebook page from 26th March to 10th April.
Here are the steps on how you can participate in this contest:
- Click here to head over to the Catbassador post on Facebook
- Like the HONOR Malaysia Facebook page
- Suggest a name in the comment section and tag 2 friends
The HONOR 8C will be available in blue and black in Malaysia, and exclusively on Lazada starting on 27th March 2019 at the price of RM599. Since 27th March is Lazada’s birthday sale, the first 1000 customers of the HONOR 8C receive a limited edition Catbassador tote bag too.
The HONOR 8C will be available at hihonor.com/my, Shopee, and all HONOR Experience Stores starting 5th April onwards.
