Ever wondered what goes behind the scenes of Honor, the smartphone maker? Well, you can check out what George Zhao, the president of Honor, gave a speech during TEDx Caohejing Park where he talked about what goes on and what made the Honor we know today.
He shared his vision for perfection and technological innovation and also revealed how Honor received global success by becoming the top smartphone e-brand in China for four consecutive years. They’re not far off in Malaysia too, by the way.
As a leading smartphone e-brand, Honor encourages young people to achieve their life dreams every day and always stay true to themselves, with a commitment to innovation that changes people’s lives. The aim of yesterday’s TEDx talk was to share this passion and confidence with young people directly, helping them to fulfill their aspirations and change the world.
Zhao started his career with Huawei in 1998, working with them for 20 years in China and around the world. This experience gave him a great insight into how we use technology in our everyday lives and how it can change our lives for the better. As the President of Honor, he is responsible for the overall business management and growth of the Honor brand.
It’s no surprise that Honor is ringing coherently in the youth’s market as they’ve been investing a lot in marketing by bringing influencers, artists, and celebrities that youths look up to. Take the recent collaboration with SonaOne as example. It’s certainly something unique, too.
With that said, Honor still makes really good and affordable phones – take a look at the Honor 8X which we reviewed here. With a large 91% screen-to-body ratio, the Honor 8X is priced at just RM949 yet provides decent specs for a mid-range smartphone. It’s most certainly a special smartphone.
