I guess HTC has gotta redeem itself somewhere, sometime, somehow, and they managed to whip out the HTC One A9.
It’s HTC’s brand new mid-range device under the One A-series smartphones of devices. HTC announces One A9 – a 5-inch device with 1080p screen and it’ll be available worldwide at somewhere during the beginning of November.
The HTC One A9 sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor – the latest 600-series processor by Qualcomm, with a microSD card slot to expand up to 2TB of storage, but juiced up by a tiny 2150 mAh battery!
In terms of its internal memory, it has either 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage or 2GB of RAM with 16GB of storage. Nobody is sure what configuration of hardware that a particular country will get – it might be the former, the latter, or both – but for all I can predict. it’s most likely the latter configuration instead.
It also features an impressive rear-facing camera, with 13MP sapphire-covered lens with a f/2.0 aperture with BSI sensor and OIS technology. The front- facing has the HTC’s signature UltraPixel technology and again with f/2.0 but with a measly fixed-focus camera. Blehh.
It also has a built-in DAC that delivers 24-bit 192kHz audio though! Hot dang, it even runs on Android 6.0 Marshmellow! Then again, no dual-front-facing speakers???????? WTF HTC??
