The iQOO 15R has officially been unveiled for Malaysia, and if you’ve liked the iQOO 15 but think that it’s a bit out of your budget, then the 15R could come in handy as an alternative. Simply speaking, it is a downscaled version of the flagship in exchange for better affordability.
To start, the phone runs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 + iQOO Supercomputing Chip Q2 alongside the Monster HyperCore Engine, compared to the iQOO 15’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 + Supercomputing Chip Q3. Meanwhile, the screen is now a 1.5K OLED panel instead of a 2K one, but you still get 144Hz of refresh rate for PC-grade smoothness.

Running on OriginOS 6, it promises five years of smooth performance via the Origin Smooth Engine, plus AI-powered tools like AI Creation and AI Captions. Cross-device features such as One-Tap Transfer and Office Kit with iPad aim to make multitasking between devices easier.
On the connectivity side, a dedicated Network Enhancement Chip and a new Surround Antenna Architecture are designed to keep latency low and connections stable, even in crowded or urban environments – which is exactly where you don’t want your signal dropping mid-match.
