The AMD Ryzen 7000 Series desktop processors are certainly drawing a new ceiling line for the consumer market with gamers that are not cash-strapped waiting patiently for the official sales. Accompanying the new CPU, though, is the new AM5 socket and memory support of DDR5 (Although they officially ditched DDR4 but I digress).
The debut of the new platform also showcases AMD’s version of the “Intel XMP” one-click overclocking profiles for RAM kits – the AMD EXPO. To take advantage of exclusivity, Kingston has revealed the FURY Beast DDR5 AM5 series memory modules.
Appearance-wise, they are the same as the standard “base” models in the sense of being available in both non-RGB and RGB versions. These sticks will carry the AMD Extended Profile for Overclocking certification (EXPO) with 2 preset profiles tuned by the manufacturer on top of 1 extra slot for user-customized parameters. Non-savvy users without any overclocking knowledge can easily gain access to speeds up to 6,000MT/s with a single click.
The FURY Beast line of products offers a low-profile heat spreader design to keep compatibility with most CPU air coolers out there and satisfies all DDR5 specifications including on-die ECC and per-module Power Management Integrated Circuits (PMIC) for extreme speeds and incredible stability.
The Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 AM5 RAM is available in 16GB single modules and 32GB kits of two. Be sure to verify that the orange-colored AMD EXPO sticker is there so that you don’t accidentally buy the “wrong” one.
