Malaysia just decided to “Go Google” by bringing in Google Apps and Chromebooks to 10 million students, teachers and parents. Malaysia funnily chose Chromebooks – a total cloud-dependant platform – to be used for educational purposes as the Malaysian internet speed is very, very horrible.
Chromebooks – well known for their speed and simplicity, as said by Google is a “cost efficient option” and most definitely will be great for first timers as it only takes few seconds to boot up and has virus protection built in, and Google constantly updates the operating system.
Malaysia took the initiative to implement Chromebooks for primary and secondary schools nationwide to be used by everyone as a step to its education system reformation.
