The brand new Galaxy Fold is just an interesting “smartphone” to begin with. Samsung debuted flexible OLED displays since 2013. Now, Malaysian got the chance to finally own this device – but not now.

Surprisingly, the Galaxy Fold is highly-anticipated and is sold out in both South Korea and Singapore. In South Korea, the first batch was sold out within hours. This made the company readjusting the stock allocation since some customers who can’t wait to get their hands on one had to pay double the price at Hong Kong, as reported by Sam Mobile. Samsung also expects to ship a total of 1 million units of the Galaxy Fold in its second pre-order run.

It arrived in Singapore and it was immediately sold out as well. Samsung Electronics Singapore claimed there are “thousands” who registered their interest in buying the Galaxy Fold, and that’s the closest we can get to the number of units sold.

Samsung Malaysia Electronics did hint that the Galaxy Fold will have its pre-order campaign in Malaysia soon – but that’s the only piece of information we have as of now. You can click here to learn more about it.

Honestly speaking, I’m personally surprised by the reception of the Galaxy Fold. Being the first-generation in this brand new form factor of smart device, it seems that customers really do have a lot of confidence in Samsung. Even Linus Tech Tips is loving the Galaxy Fold.

We’ll definitely update this page when we have the pre-order details and the price.

UPDATE: The Galaxy Fold is finally available for pre-order here in Malaysia – and the price is at RM8,388. Available in both Cosmos Black and Space Silver colors.

The pre-order starts on 9th October 2019. For more details regarding the Galaxy Fold pre-order, click here.
