Yesterday, Meizu launched their brand new smartphone in the Malaysia market – the Meizu M6 and M6 Note. They’re special, since it costs less than a thousand and yet has some really interesting specs – especially the M6 Note.
Here is the specs list for the Meizu M6 Note:
- 5.5-inch 1080p display
- Snapdragon 625 chipset with 8x 2.0GHz Cortex-A53 processor
- Rear camera: 12MP + 5MP f/1.9 aperture with PDAF
- Selfie camera: 16MP f/2.0
- 4,000mAh battery with mCharge fast-charging tecnhology
- Available in 3GB RAM + 32GB storage or 4GB RAM + 64GB storage
The price? It’s stunning – only RM899 for the 3GB RAM + 32GB storage version. I’m impressed by the price – as other Snapdragon 625 smartphones out there in the market costs a lot more than RM899. Though, it’s weird to see smartphones these days that don’t have the 18:9 FullView display.
The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant will arrive some time in the future – hopefully for less than a thousand too.
As for the Meizu M6 – the one without the Note – has a different list of specs.
- 5.2-inch 720p display
- MediaTek MTK6750 chipset with 8x 1.52GHz processors
- Rear camera: 13MP f/2.2
- Selfie camera: 8MP f/2.0
- 3,070mAh battery
- 3GB RAM + 32GB storage
The Meizu M6 is definitely aimed towards a more entry-level market, as its price is only RM599. And it’s small.
