Nothing Malaysia has announced the availability of its Ear (3) TWS that packs more upgrades with a focus on voice delivery.
The new feature is called Super Mic, and different from the usual mic, this one’s actually living in the charging case, and you can press the TALK button and talk directly into the case.
It is reportedly so good that it can record voice clearly with background noise of up to 95dB, and users can also record voice notes straight to Essential Space with automatic transcription if they’re on Nothing OS.
For the earbuds, each of them houses 3x directional mics plus a bone-conduction Voice Pick-up Unit for even clearer sound pickup, while the multi-channel AI noise-cancellation system trained on over 20 million hours of audio enables wind noise removal of more than 25 dB. For listening, the buds themselves feature Real-time Adaptive Noise Cancellation up to 45 dB, constantly adjusting every 600 ms so your music stays isolated even as you move around.
Sound-wise, Nothing bumped up the drivers to 12 mm with a patterned diaphragm that gives 20% more surface area than the last gen, boosting bass by up to 6 dB and treble by up to 4 dB. The result is richer lows, wider soundstage, and cleaner highs.
The design keeps that signature transparent look but now adds polished metal accents for the first time. The case itself is crafted from 100% recycled aluminium and goes through 27 precision processes to achieve a seamless unibody, while the new MIM antenna improves connectivity with 15% stronger radiated power and 20% better sensitivity.
Battery life also got a boost: up to 10 hours per charge (90 minutes more than the previous Ear), and 38 hours with the case. A quick 10-minute charge gives you another 10 hours of playback, plus wireless charging is built in. Lastly, it supports Bluetooth 5.4 with LDAC, Fast Pair on Android, Swift Pair on Windows, and of course, iOS pairing.
And yes, both the buds and the case are IP54-rated, so they’ll survive dust, sweat, and light rain.
