nPerf has released the latest round of Internet performance surveys for Malaysia between the period of July 1, 2023, and June 30, 2024.
Covering the category of Fixed Internet Connection and compatible with all broadband connections of ADSL, VDSL, cable, optical fiber FTTH / FTTB, satellite, Wi-Fi, WiMAX, nPerf score takes multiple aspects into account to tabulate a score for a specific test.
A variety of tests were done on speeds, latency, and streaming/browsing tests. Powered by a logarithmic scale for better user perception, it allows nPerf to come up with reports that are accurate and independent from ISPs to serve as a trustable source for other market analyzers.

So in conclusion, Time is the winner in terms of general, everyday performance for users while Maxis gives the best latency for real-time, response-critical applications while Unifi ex excels in download speed for efficient streaming and file downloading.
As for the countrywide average, Malaysia has achieved 205Mbps which places itself higher than others like New Zealand (176 Mbps), Japan (173 Mbps), Taiwan (83 Mbps), India (71 Mbps) or Indonesia (46 Mbps).
The study utilizes a strong filtering method to reflect real customer experiences while tests are carried out exclusively by the operators’ end-customers to gather real data from the general public.
