Just minutes after the official unveiling of the OnePlus 6T, we got the announcement that it will be available for pre-orders starting 30th October 2018. Wow. That’s quick.
Let’s first talk about the specs of the OnePlus 6T:
- 6.4-inch Optic AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, 2340×1080 pixels and ~85.6% screen-to-body ratio
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset

- Up to 8GB of RAM
- Dual rear-facing cameras
- 16MP f/1.7 with PDAF + OIS + EIS; 20MP f/1.7 with PDAF

- 20MP f/2.0 selfie camera
- 3,700mAh battery with Fast Charge
- Under screen fingerprint scanner
- Android 9.0 Pie with Oxygen OS
On paper, the OnePlus 6T is still a 2018 flagship smartphone. It now has a lot of updates, integrating the latest trends and features that the competitors has. The OnePlus 6T is definitely not the first one to have an under-screen fingerprint scanner, but it is using what we dub as the 2nd generation technology where we cannot actually see the sensor itself.
The new OnePlus 6T also supports their Fast charge technology, which outputs a maximum of 20W (5V 4A) to the phone. That seems like a lot of power – and we’re eager to know just how much power that translates to.
The OnePlus 6T also uses the Optic AMOLED display, and the largest one to date. It comes with a smaller, classier waterdrop notch design that is reminiscent of the OPPO F9, and has a 85.6% screen-to-body ratio.
We Malaysians are also very lucky as we can start pre-orders from now, 30th October 2018 until 7th November, 2018 on the official OnePlus store on Lazada. Alternatively, pre-orders can be made by contacting OnePlus’s official distributor, Mi Han Sdn Bhd, directly at 03-2027 4666.
The first 100 pre-orders will get one year extended warranty and also an RM200 rebate on the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Headphones.
Official sales of the OnePlus 6T starts on the 8th of November 2018.
