POCO M3 just announced an entry-ish-level smartphone that aims to take the lead of the entry-mid market through its sheer battery power, performance, and user experience. The back camera module somehow reminds me (and a lot of other people) of the not-long-ago announced OnePlus 8T Cyberpunk 2077 Edition though.
Let’s check out the specs of this superior budget-centric device.

- 1080p resolution
- Waterdrop notch
- TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certified

- 4GB RAM
- Up to 128GB storage (Expandable up to 512GB)

To fully utilize the seemingly never-ending battery, it can now act as the portable power bank through wired reverse charging to give some urgent juice to your friends during emergencies. Not a new feature, but it’s there if you want it. Just make sure you have a USB-C to USB-C cable handy.
Aside from the usual spec list check, we all know the purpose of you buying this phone for 1 big reason – gaming. At such a low price point that equips the Snapdragon 662 SoC, you’ll be wondering how it handles some of the hottest game around, check out our gaming test video down below for some quick rundowns.
Preorder details and Availability
For starters, the POCO M3 will first arrive in Cool Blue and Power Black colors with the POCO Yellow coming in at a later date.
While you may grab 1 of the 2 variants we have listed on Xiaomi’s Lazada Store, there are early bird prices that shave off RM100 that can be applied for both models which makes them at RM499 and RM599 respectively.
In addition, those who successfully made a purchase on November 27 will receive a free gift, Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic Piston Earphone, while stocks last.
Short update: POCO is now independent
In a post on POCO’s official Facebook Page, the brand is now independent. From what we know in the past, if any sub-brand becomes independent, it is considered as a self-standing brand despite having some shared technologies.
