Qualcomm is aiming for the edge AI market through the release of its latest Networking Pro A7 Elite platform.
Edge AI is becoming more crucial as more possibilities and innovative breakthroughs can be achieved in any given field which also includes the networking sector.
As such, operators and enterprises could deploy applications and services that cover a multitude of market segments such as energy management, automation, virtual assistants, and more.
The tech also allows better privacy by processing all sensitive data locally at the gateway layer while benefiting from AI features such as personalized contextual data processing with near real-time response.
Aside from the 40 TOPS AI computing power and WiFi 7 support, it is also designed with other options in mind including 10G Fiber, 5G, Ethernet, RF-Front End modules, and filters for a single yet comprehensive platform.
While this is just the hardware level, Qualcomm has also prepared software support dedicated to partners and developers as the Qualcomm AI Hub has been “updated” to get things started and rolling.
As for now, the Qualcomm Networking Pro A7 Series is being showcased at the Network X expo in Paris starting today until October 10 at Stand A13 sitting within the expo hall. On the other hand, industry folks may shoot an email to Qualcomm for more sampling inquiries and other information.
