Qualcomm is expanding its PC lineup with the introduction of the Snapdragon C Platform, a new processor designed for affordable Windows laptops targeting students, families, and small businesses.
They are shooting for the US$300 segment to help bring modern computing and the associated features to a wider audience. Well, performance ain’t gonna be “that good” for sure, but battery life and efficiency can be the key aspects to securing more users.
The inclusion of an NPU also means that devices will be able to run simple AI-powered functions for everyday tasks such as web browsing, video streaming, and productivity workloads.
Laptops powered by the Snapdragon C Platform are expected to become available later this year.
