A few months ago we saw the Redmi Go appeared on SIRIM since February. From what we know, phones can already be sold in the market after obtaining SIRIM certification. Now, it is officially available in the market for just RM299 – and it runs on Android Go too.
Of course, the name moniker “Go” here indicates that the Redmi Go runs on Android Go. Since it does run on Android Go, the specs are catered towards the entry-level smartphones.

For us here in Malaysia, the Redmi Go is only available in a single configuration. 1GB RAM + 8GB storage and in black colour only. The Redmi Go will be available at Mi Stores, Lazada, and Shopee at RM299 starting from 13th April 2019 onward.
The price of RM299 only definitely surprised us as we expected it to be priced higher.
