Over the course of these few days, there was a major shift in what retailers were doing towards Digi. Particularly, those who were selling Digi SIM cards and prepaid top-ups. The reason remains unknown, but the retailers seem to have formed a union to boycott Digi.
One Facebook user has posted an array of pictures showing signs put up by retailers to just to essentially say “No Digi, please call 016-2211800“. That phone number is actually Digi’s customer care line which I presume is the way to tell Digi that these retailers are unsatisfied with some change that Digi has made.
This user has posted images from multiple different locations but with the same message – but we still do not know what message this supposed union is trying to convey.
Some comments we found on Facebook were mentioning that Digi has lowered their commission rates, hence resellers are retaliating on this change. From what we can find out, the commission was changed from 6% to 3.2% now.
We have reached out to Digi on this matter for comment. We will update this space when we have more information regarding what is happening.
Any resellers who like to tell us what is happening are also welcomed to message us at our Facebook Page here.
