Samsung has announced that several Galaxy devices have joined and certified by the Android Enterprise Recommended program for a guaranteed experience that fulfills the needs of industry professionals.
By joining the program, Galaxy devices that run Android 11 (which is already coming soon, since beta versions of One UI 3.0 are out) such as S20, Note20, Tab S7|S7+, and ruggedized devices including the XCover Pro are verified to meet Google’s standard requirements and ensure consistent device performance and user experience for businesses and accelerate towards digital transformation goals at a faster rate.
The Knox for Enterprise program is also something similar to it albeit from Samsung’s own aspect of industry-grade capabilities with the Knox Suite providing the following features:
- Advanced security features, such as Dual-layered Data-At-Rest encryption, Real-time Kernel Protection, Defeat Exploit, and Sensitive Data Protection to protect our enterprise customers from emerging threats
- Authority for IT administrators to tailor or configure Samsung devices to their specific needs right out of the box and manage them from a central location by establishing a wide range of IT policies;
- System for IT administrators to easily manage their employees’ operating systems and software updates remotely to make sure the latest OS versions and security patches, once tested, are readily available for all employees.
Nevertheless, with 2 sets of standards met by these devices, industry users can rest assure that the shortlisted smartphones and tablets will serve them well and long over the course of several years.
This is quite a no-brainer and perfect match for Samsung, Google, and enterprise users since Samsung also offers a lot of tools and utilities that are focused on how to make us work more efficiently and faster. And Knox is already a good step forward in security and privacy – so bringing it to the next level to the enterprises is great.
