Pretty sure since last year’s December, Samsung smartphone users might have felt that their Cloud apps such as Drive and Gallery sync seem to be a bit janky such as certain features not working properly. After all, Samsung is ending the services pretty soon.
According to the in-app notice, you will no longer be allowed to use the Cloud Drive and Gallery Sync feature as well the OneDrive migration starting from June 1 while all ongoing subscription payments will be refunded. On August 31, the day will mark down the official closure of the service as data download support will also be stopped.
For those who just want to keep using a cloud storage service, the migration to OneDrive will also help consolidate items into a single account (Unless you want to split them intentionally) and Samsung is willing to provide the same amount of storage capacity for free, up to 1 year.
You can also opt into redownloading all those stored files, in the case you didn’t have a lot of them, and have them re-upload to another cloud storage service. If you do have a ton, the 90 day period should allow you to grab all of them. Just need to be a bit less lazy and move them constantly every day.
