Samsung Malaysia just announced that their mid-range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) that we reviewed here, has received a permanent RM200 slash off the price tag. The smartphone is now priced at only RM1,099.
The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2018) is originally priced at RM1,299 and bringing it down to RM1,099 only makes it even easier for first timers to experience Samsung’s exclusive services – like Samsung Pay which I personally use frequently.
The Galaxy A7 (2018) is also Samsung’s first smartphone to come with a triple rear-facing camera setup as it consists of:
- 24MP f/1.7 main camera
- 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide angle camera with 120°
- 5MP f/2.2 depth sensor
As said in our review of the Galaxy A7 (2018), it is indeed a fun smartphone to use. Having this 3 different cameras do enable a bigger range of creativity and flexibility on how you want the picture to be taken.
The Galaxy A7 (2018) also comes with a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with 2220×1080 pixels in resolution and is equipped with Samsung’s Exynos 7885 Octa chipset, 4GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage. All of these are powered by a 3,300mAh battery.
Of course, when it comes to Samsung – the specs is only a part of the story. It is also equipped with Samsung Experience 9.0 which features Samsung Pay and the super useful Game Tools as well.
Samsung’s decision to cut the price is honestly, obviously a good one. With the mid-range market getting more saturated by the weeks, having a low price is always the best and fastest way to stay competitive. Yet, the Galaxy A7 (2018) still has its own specialty.
