The brand new Samsung Galaxy Buds+ was announced alongside the highly-anticipated Galaxy S20 series during the recent Unpacked event. While the Galaxy Buds+ does look the same as its predecessor, its upgrades are all under the hood.
The new Galaxy Buds+ has a supremely long battery life, which Samsung is claiming to be at 11 hours of playtime with a single charge, and provides 1 hour of playback with just 3 minutes of charging. Like its predecessor, you can also charge it wirelessly as it supports Qi wireless charging.
The Galaxy Buds+ now also features a 2+1 microphone system and a 2-way speaker for each bud. These microphones are made for ambient sound, not for noise cancelation. The 2-way speaker here means it has a woofer and a tweeter, providing a larger range of frequencies for improved sound quality and clarity.
With that said, the Galaxy Buds+ is currently retailing for the price of RM599.
We actually have a unit of the Galaxy Buds+ with us right now and we’re in the process of reviewing it – but our final conclusion is simple – the Galaxy Buds+ is an affordable premium high-end true wireless earbuds.
We’ll save all of our thoughts for the full review, which will be coming soon.
The Galaxy Buds+ is also available for a quick hands-on. Just visit the nearest Samsung Experience Store, which you can find here https://www.samsung.com/my/storelocator/.
