Let’s be honest here – there is a market segment for entry-level smartphones. We’re not discriminating – even I would want an entry-level smartphone for my parents. They won’t need the best in class hardware, but they definitely need something usable and assists them to communicate with their peers. The Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro falls in that category.
In terms of specs, the Galaxy J2 Pro has a 5-inch display with 540×960 pixels, quad-core processor running at 1.4GHz each, 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of storage. All of these are powered by a removable 2,600mAh battery.
It has an 8MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, and another 5MP selfie camera.
From 6th April 2018 onwards, the Galaxy J2 Pro will make its way to Samsung Experience stores in four colour options: Blue Silver, Pink, Black, and Gold at recommended retail price of RM499.
Quite a good phone to get for the elderly, actually. Nothing much to be said about it other than the Galaxy J2 Pro being colorful as ever. Perhaps you can swap these covers like Nokia’s Xpress-on too, since it does have a removable battery after all. Though, I’m pretty sure Samsung wouldn’t sell the battery covers separately.
