Thunderobot, the still relatively new player in the realm of gaming laptops here in Malaysia, just announced their new 911 Air gaming laptop. It’s a laptop meant to be for the the masses, and from what we’ve seen for the ST Plus that we reviewed here, they struck a pretty good balance between weight and performance.
The brand new 911 Air will be packed with Intel’s 8th Gen Core i7 processor, paired with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti GPU.
THUNDEROBOT is excited to launch the 911 Air equipped with the latest technology from Intel” says Darya Wang, Director of Marketing, THUNDEROBOT. “The new 911 Air allows gamers to not break the bank when looking for a powerful gaming device that they can bring wherever they go. We see that portable gaming laptops generally have a higher cost to the consumer. Since PC gamers have the option of only either bulky gaming laptops or expensive portable ones, we wanted to solve that problem with the 911 Air and provide gamers with an option that is budget-friendly.
Li Yan Bing, CTO/Vice President, THUNDEROBOT.
The new Thunderobot 911 Air has a lightweight body which weighs at only 2kg. It features the Intel Core i7-8750H and NVIDIA GTX 1050Ti, working alongside with an NVMe SSD and up to 32GB of RAM. It’s pretty powerful on paper for sure.
Just like many other laptops out there, the Thunderobot 911 Air comes with a 1080p IPS monitor with 6mm ultra-thin bezel and 82% screen-to-body to match.
The 911 Air offers a hairline brushed steel design and bears the newly redesigned and simplified TR logo that sits on the top corner of the chassis.
The typing experience on the 911 Air is much quieter due to its scissor keys with an x-structure mechanism. This is made possible due to its low actuation point or “short travel” for the key switches.
The Thunderobot 911 Air is available in Malaysia starting at RM4,799. You can find it at one of the appointed retailers or even at Lazada today.
