If you don’t have an M.2 slot and use Transcend’s brand new M.2 SSDs, fret not as they’ve got you covered. Introducing the brand new SSD730S from Transcend.
Based on what I can deduce here, Transcend used the same memory controller and memory chips as their MTS series of M.2 SSDs which we covered the news here. The SSD730S still has the 560MB/s read and 460MB/s write speeds, and is available at various capacities starting from 32GB all the way up to 1TB.
For those who are using an old desktop case that doesn’t have built-in 2.5-inch drive mounts (like me), Transcend got you covered as they included a 3.5-inch to 2.5-inch bracket. Price wise is as below.
