Earlier this year, Vivo Malaysia has shown its commitment to caring about the wellbeing of society by giving out free sanitizers to visiting customers to keep their hands clean at all times.

3 months have passed since then. However, social distancing and social gathering bans are still effective due to the recovery phase of MCO and we cannot afford to be complacent as the country could still experience another surge in Covid-19 cases. In light of that, the company is now offering free phone sanitizing service to all Vivo users at its concept stores nationwide through its recurring Vivo Care campaign.

Vivo Malaysia handing out free hand sanitizers

Based on recent studies, the COVID-19 virus is able to survive on surfaces for up to nine days and beyond. With our smartphones getting touched so frequently every day, it is important to disinfect them after returning from outdoors. If you are unclear about the procedures of sanitizing them, check out this post.

From what we can confirm, this service is only valid for Vivo smartphones – which is still commendable since there are a lot of Vivo smartphone users in Malaysia. Of course, it’s not as inclusive as Samsung’s sanitation service – but hey, the companies are doing this out of their own pockets instead of using that money to slap ads on our faces.
