There are many smartphones within the Galaxy A series, but specifically for the price range of RM1,000, we have the Samsung Galaxy A31. It is still one of my favorites so far. I think it’s a great smartphone – here’s why I recommend it.
We have already the Galaxy A31 – but we have more to talk about this phone.
Starting with the specs
Now firstly, we know that many other smartphones are within this price range. They’re all going to perform well in day-to-day usage anyway, but let’s take a look at them in terms of specs:

We get ample of storage and enough RAM that we can ever use. Seriously, I use only 5GB of RAM at most and I am a pretty heavy user myself.
Impressive 5,000mAh battery
That battery is certainly something that I’m in love with as a larger battery means that I don’t have to charge it that often and I don’t have to be thrifty about it.
From our battery life test, the Galaxy A31 can last for 2 days of usage without breaking a sweat.
We did a charging test with the Galaxy A31 with the included 15W charger, and it got from 15% to 100% battery in about 2 hours.
Rather impressive cameras
In our review of the Galaxy A31, we have highlighted the cameras are very punchy and they’re great to look at – which is Samsung’s signature when it comes to picture colors.
What’s amazing here is that Samsung included a 5MP macro camera in this phone too, while its rivals only include a 2MP camera. We took a few pictures using the macro camera – and they look great.
And when we posted about these pictures, many of you agreed that the Galaxy A31’s macro camera is great too.
Yes, the Galaxy A31 has Samsung Pay
The one question that many people ask us when we review a Galaxy A series smartphone is – does it have Samsung Pay?
Yes – the Galaxy A31 has Samsung Pay, and it now works with Boost too! We can double-dip in rewards all the way!

Senheng’s deal is great, too
Okay, so the Galaxy A31 retails at RM1,099 – and there are a few reasons why we should buy from Senheng Electric.
First off, you can pay with an installment basis too. Depending on which bank you’re paying with, there’s an option to pay in 6-month or 12-months.
Secondly, Senheng is sweetening the deal by offering these two bonuses:
- RM50 Rebate + Protection Plus
- Extra 1-year warranty for Senheng PlusOne members
