Last year, Xiaomi surprised us with the arrival of the Mi T series of smartphones. Both the Mi 9T and the Mi 9T Pro were fantastic phones – and Xiaomi is now bringing the same value to the table again with the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro.
Both the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro brings impressive specs for the supremely affordable price tag that it asks for – because Xiaomi always has honest pricing.
Starting with the specs
Both the Mi 10T and the Mi 10T Pro comes with a massive 6.67-inch IPS LCD screen with a top-of-the-line 144Hz refresh rate. And in our review of the Mi 10T Pro, we also noted that the quality of the display that Xiaomi used is a very high-grade one, which is why I thought it was an OLED screen in the first place.
And then the chipset – they’re equipped with the Snapdragon 865 chip, which means it will definitely run all fo the latest and greatest games without any issues – even Genshin Impact at its highest graphical settings at 60fps. Don’t just take our word for it, we also showed you the proof.
How about the camera?
But specifically with the Mi 10T Pro, it has a lot of major upgrades over the regular Mi 10T – specifically the main camera. It has a triple rear-facing camera setup – but the 108MP camera also has OIS built-in. This allows the camera to take really good-looking pictures.
Here are a few pictures that I’ve taken with the Mi 10T Pro.
The Mi 10T Pro also has 6 new long-exposure modes where the phone makes it easier for you to create artistic shots:
- Light painting
- Moving crowd
- Neon trails
- Oil painting
- Star trails
- Starry sky
5,000mAh with supremely fast charging
Xiaomi actually thinks outside the box when it comes to fast-charging this time. By implementing something called middle-middle-tab (MMT), the Mi 10T Pro charges its single-cell battery like how a dual-cell battery charges. The charge goes in the middle and splits into two parts of the battery, hence speeding up the charging process.
The entire 5,000mAh battery takes slightly less than 60 minutes to charge from 15% to 100% with the included 33W charger!
Why you should pick the Mi 10T series
Let’s first talk about pricing. The Mi 10T series comes in two different variants with these prices:
- Mi 10T Pro (8GB RAM + 256GB storage) @ RM1,999
- Mi 10T (8GB RAM + 128GB storage) @ RM1,699
And this time around, Xiaomi Malaysia is also rewarding you with even more freebies:
- 24 Months Warranty
