The Mi 8 also has face unlock via infrared with the help of the integrated infrared illuminator. This infrared light can enable the Mi 8 to still use face unlock even when the environment is in total darkness.
The Mi 8 comes in two different storage variants – either in 64GB (available at Lazada and Shopee on 16th August) and 128GB (available in Authorized Mi stores, Lazada, and Shopee on 18th August) of internal storage.
Both of these variants come in three different colors – black, blue, and white. The white color option will be available later in September. The 64GB version will be priced at RM1,599 whereas the 128GB version is at RM1,899.
Perhaps we’ll be taking a look at what Xiaomi really has to offer this time around. The specs look fantastic, and paired with Xiaomi’s enhancements together with the price, the Mi 8 sure looks like an instant hit in the market.
