Xiaomi just launched the brand new Mi 10T series. Within this series, we have two new devices – the Mi 10T Lite, Mi 10T, and also the Mi 10T Pro. This is a pretty big upgrade from last year’s criminally underrated Mi 9T series of smartphones. With the tagline of “Power Your Creativity”, these phones are made for work and play, while providing 5G at an impossibly low price too.

Instead of having the Mi Note series of smartphones to be the photography-focused smartphones from Xiaomi, the new Mi 10T Pro will be the one packing a 108MP sensor that can capture amazing pictures and videos of up to 8K, and also has OIS for better stability. It’s kind of weird to see that instead of including the usual main-ultra-wide-telephoto triple-camera setup, Xiaomi opted for a macro camera instead of telephoto.

The camera does have a few new modes – particularly the new “long exposure” mode which has a few more sub-modes like shooting a moving crowd, blurring dynamic surroundings, star trails, and car trail lights. There’s also the ability to record video using both front and back cameras simultaneously.
As for the screen, it’s using an IPS LCD with 144Hz refresh rate and AdaptiveSync. This AdaptiveSync works by downclocking the refresh rate into a few distinct levels, so that it can help save battery when a high refresh rate is not required. Think of it as downclocking to 30Hz while viewing a picture to save battery.

Xiaomi also implemented Motion Estimation, Motion Compensation (MEMC) technology so that the in-between frames can be interpolated, appearing to be smoother than usual.
Both the Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T are also stuffed with a 5,000mAh and can be charged quickly thanks to both the included 33W charger and MMT (middle-middle tab) technology for even faster charging.
The price and availability of the Mi 10T and Mi 10T for the Malaysian market will be announced later in October.

Despite having the “Lite” moniker, the Mi 10T Lite still packs 5G capability – although it’s not usable in Malaysia yet. It packs the same camera software as the Mi 10T Pro and Mi 10T, so you can explore both the Long Exposure mode and also take videos in Dual Video mode.
Instead of having a 144Hz refresh rate screen, it has 120Hz. It also retained the AdaptiveSync technology.
As for the battery, it’s slightly smaller at 4,820mAh but will last a long time thanks to the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset.
The price and availability of the Mi 10T Lite for the Malaysian market will be announced later in October.
Mi 65W GaN charger
Xiaomi has also announced the new 65W charger that uses GaN substrate for its components. It outputs the same amount of power but the size of the charger is drastically smaller compared to conventional 65W chargers.

The pricing and availability will be announced later.
Mi Watch
Xiaomi has also announced the new Mi Watch, with a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen with buttons at the side. Xiaomi also touts 16 days of battery life and has the ability to monitor heart rate, SpO2, air pressure, and also has GPS.

Xiaomi also boasts over 100 different watch faces, remote camera control functionality, and more.
The price and availability of the Mi Watch will be announced for the Malaysian market at a later date.
