With the trend of VR and 360-degree video becoming more of a trend these days, it’s no surprise that a company like GoPro would jump in and create action cameras that can provide an even more immersive view of what’s happening around.
The new GoPro Fusion can take 5.2K of spherical content and it has stabilization that GoPro aims it’s “gimbal-like”. The GoPro app can preview your footages taken with the Fusion as VR content or to be recaptured as a spherical shot or with a fixed angle through the OverCapture feature in the GoPro app.

GoPro Karma
The Karma is actually a funny little gadget that is… considered an all-in-one package. The GoPro Karma is a complete set that can make every videographer’s wet dream come true as it comes with a drone, a controller, a gimbal for the GoPro HERO6 Black, HERO5 Black, and also the HERO4 Black and Silver. There’s also another grip included alongside, too.
The reason for this extra grip is simple – you can attach the gimbal either to the Karma Drone itself or the Karma Grip. In a way, this is the reason why the GoPro Karma is the all-in-one package.
You have a drone to take beautiful aerial shots, and yo have a handheld grip to mount the gimbal on and take beautiful, smooth land shots.
Better yet, the Karma Drone is getting a new firmware update today too – and its new feature is Follow and Watch. That means it’ll follow the Karma Controller while framing you in the shot or to keep the Karma Controller in the frame while hovering in place.
The Karma is available for purchase at RM6,299. Too expensive? Maybe should’ve gotten this instead of the iPhone X
New GoPro Accessories
Thre are 3 other accessories that GoPro has announced today. Firstly, the Shorty. I know, the name suggests that it’s something else – but it’s actually a tiny portable tripod that has an extension pole and tripod. The Shorty is priced at RM189.
Next up is the Handler. It has an updated floating handgrip with quick-release mounting feature. The Handler is priced at RM149.
Then, the Bite Mount + Floaty. Seriously, that’s what it is. It’s a mount for your GoPro camera that’s meant to be on your mouth. The float is for the camera to float when you lost the camera from your jaws – perfect for people like surfers. The Bite Mount + Floaty is priced at RM149.
QuikStories
QuikStories is an app feature that makes it easy to share short videos of your adventures.
HERO6 is optimized for QuikStories with 3X faster WiFi. This means your footage will rapidly transfer from your GoPro to your phone where the GoPro App will automatically create QuikStory videos for you.
