Wait… I didn’t see this coming. Mah Sing and Lazada just announced their partnership where Mah Sing will be selling properties online on Lazada. Yes, that means we can actually buy properties online via Lazada.
This came to us as a big surprise as properties are quite a big deal. And the property sale begins this upcoming 12.12 sale – which is only about 2 weeks away. This will also mean that Mah Sing is the first developer in South East Asia to enable buyers to buy a house online. Yes, a literal house.
We were told that this collaboration is in line with the recent government’s efforts to introduce more affordable and accessible homes to today’s buyers. Of course, now it means you can buy them even more conveniently than before.
I wonder how the lawyer fees and documentation signings will proceed as they are tedious. buying a property does not mean paying a lump sum of cash as downpayment only – there are approval for loans from banks and also more documentations.
Another interesting thing that we found is that Mah Sing already has an official LazMall store page in Lazada. That actually raised a few interesting questions – remember when we first took a look at what LazMall meant? One of the clause is that the items are 100% genuine.
When it comes to properties though, it’s quite different. There are many different condominiums for example, that showed a beautiful 3D concept art – but the final product ended up looking completely different. Does that mean the item is not “100% genuine” though? And LazMall stores have this as compensation if the item is not “100% genuine” as well:

I wonder what other measures Lazada and Mah Sing is going to implement to ensure a win-win-win situation for the 3 parties involved: consumer, Lazada, and Mah Sing.
We’ll have to wait until 28th November, as that is when Lazada and Mah Sing will officiate this collaboration and unveil all the details.
