Today, Xiaomi Malaysia is proud to announce the arrival of the brand new mid-range smartphone, the Mi 9T. They have been teasing this smartphone on their Facebook page for a really long time, and today it is finally here! As for the price, it only starts at RM1,199. You can get it for RM1,099 if you read through this article.
In the Mi 9 series of smartphones, we already have the affordable Mi 9 SE and of course, the beloved Mi 9 (review). The Mi 9T is a nice addition to the center point between the Mi 9 SE and the current flagship Mi 9. With that, it comes with some features that are unavailable on both the existing phones in the Mi 9 series.
Namely is the lack of a notch. With the Mi 9T, Xiaomi has opted for a motorized camera that goes up and down – like many other smartphones we’ve seen thus far.
As for the specs of the Xiaomi Mi 9T, here they are:
- 6.39-inch notchless AMOLED display with 2340×1080 pixels in resolution
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 730
- 6GB RAM
- 64GB or 128GB internal storage
- Triple rear-facing cameras
- Main camera: 48MP f/1.8, PDAF
- Ultrawide angle camera: 13MP f/2.4
- Telephoto camera: 8MP f/2.4, 2x optical zoom
- Popup selfie camera: 20MP f/2.2
- 4,000mAh battery
Also, I can’t believe I am saying this, but the Mi 9T comes with a headphone jack and they made sure we are all away of that.
The Mi 9T configurations and prices are as follows:
- 6GB RAM + 64GB storage @ RM1,199
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage @ RM1,399
With all things considered, the price of just RM1,199 is killing other smartphones in the market. On top of our heads, we have a few smartphones that are currently in jeopardy – the Realme 3 Pro, OPPO F11 Pro, and also the HONOR 20 Lite.
Also, pre-booking starts today until 24th June. The price for pre-booked units are at RM1,099 only. That is a fantastic price and definitely is able to kill even more rivals on that day alone.
