It seems like Xiaomi is now the Thanos of smartphones. Whatever smartphones they announce, it must be unbelievably affordable. Xiaomi has a track record for offering great great performance for the price that it asks for, and the newly-announced Mi 9 SE is no different.
We recently gave the Mi 9 our gold award our in-depth review here. That Mi 9 is Xiaomi’s flagship smartphone and without a doubt, that smartphone offers lots of performance and to spare. The Mi 9 SE still has most of the features from the Mi 9, but with a few changes.
Here is the specs list of the Mi 9 SE:
- 5.97-inch Super AMOLED display with waterdrop notch
- 2340×1080 pixels in resolution
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 chipset
- 2x Kryo 360 Gold @ 2.3GHz + 6x Kryo 360 Silver @ 1.7GHz

The Mi 9 SE is also using the UFS 2.1 chips for storage and LPDDR4X RAM for better performance yet lower power consumption. With that said, the Mi 9 SE is also available at 6GB RAM minimum.
Furthermore, it also comes with the triple rear-facing camera setup just like the Mi 9, but with lower megapixel counts and the lack of autofocus on the ultrawide angle camera.
