Nokia 6.1 Plus
The all new Nokia 6.1 retains the same geometry from the Nokia 6.1 that we reviewed here, but instead of using an aluminium unibody, the Nokia 6.1 Plus has a glass sandwich design.
It is also packed with a 5.8-inch screen with 19:9 screen ratio with 1080p resolution and 96% colour gamut. Equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset, it is bound to deliver decent performance while maintaining high level of energy efficiency.
Essentially, we expect similar level of performance with the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1) that we reviewed here.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus also has a dual rear-facing camera configuration. It has a 16MP f/2.0 PDAF main camera at the back, coupled with another 5MP f/2.4 depth sensor that is used to collect depth data. This depth data is them used to apply bokeh blur effect.
The selfie camera is also equipped with a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture. With both rear and front facing cameras matched in megapixels, Nokia claims that the #Bothie mode (which we first saw in the Nokia 8) can now apply AI enhancements on both cameras simultaneously with masks and filters and stream it live in real time to Facebook and YouTube directly from your camera app, another first made available on a Nokia smartphone.
Nokia 5.1 Plus
Equipped with MediaTek Helio P60 octa-core processor, the Nokia 5.1 Plus is aimed to provide enough power to handle gaming, video or multi-tasking applications with ease. It has a 5.8-inch 720p display to built into a beautiful body as well, as it is made with a die-cast full metal chassis with a polycarbonate frame.
Just like the Nokia 6.1 Plus that we talked about, the Nokia 5.1 Plus also has dual rear-facing cameras where the 13MP/5MP setup can add bokeh effects as well. It even has electronic video stabilization.
